So January has begun! The Christmas period is over and we are now settling back into our normal routines. Most of us will have resolutions that we are trying to stick to.
If you are looking to give your liver a rest this month then I highly recommend looking into Cancer Research UK’s Dryathon challenge and try giving up booze for January whilst raising money for CRUK.
You can read all about the link between cancer and alcohol here: http://pennysophia.blogspot.co.uk/2012/02/lifestyle-choices-alcohol.html
It’s important to note that abstaining from alcohol for a month won’t dramatically improve your health or make any lasting difference to you healthwise BUT it may help you recover from a particularly boozy Christmas and it might help you make some good habits when it comes to alcohol, encourage you to cut down on your consumption or give up altogether!
You can fundraise by either donating the money you would normally spend on alcohol OR you can set up a JustGiving page and asked your friends, family and colleagues to sponsor you!
Let me know if you take part and how it goes!
